Greg Vander Veer's new short, "The Empty Hours," documents the recording process of a new opera by Ricardo Llorca. "Las Horas Vacias" ("The Empty Hours") premiered in November as the first Spanish opera ever to be performed at Lincoln Center. The documentary captures the energy of the opera as well as provides an interesting glimpse at the process of recording an album with a large orchestra and choir.

Ricardo Llorca is an internationally known composer and is currently a faculity member at Juilliard.
